Trapex consultants, the International Center for Executive Security Training was established by few security experts, law enforcement officers, academics, military officers both serving and retired to conduct security training. Our consultants, research and training team have over two decades of experience in different areas of security management. The purpose of ICEST is to empower professionals with appropriate skills to contribute meaningfully to their organization. More so, our company carries out consultancy services to help businesses minimize risks. We have established strong professional links with security professionals around the world to advancing security interest.

Faculty Members

Professor Monday E. Ushie is the course examiner for Chartered Security Professional, a senior Lecturer, and a former Head of Department of Sociology, University of Calabar. He holds a Ph.D in Industrial Sociology from the University of Jos, Nigeria. His research and academic instructions are on Social Engineering, Human Resource Management, Conflict Mediation and Organizational Productivity. He has published several peer-reviewed journals including IOSR Journal of Business and Management, Studies in Sociology of Science, Global Journal of Management and Business Research and Canadian Social Science, a Co-Editor of the American Journal of International Politics and Development Studies (AJIPDS) and the immediate past Editor of the Nigerian Journal of Social and Development Issues.   He has taught a number of Industrial and core Sociological courses at both the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate levels.

Shola Rufus Akintoye is a Professor of Accounting & Finance and the current External Examiner to the Department of Management & Accounting, Obafemi Awolowo University(Formerly University of Ife), Department of Accounting, Bowen University, Crescent University and Benson Idahosa University. He is a visiting Professor at Olabisi Onabanjo University and University of Ibadan School of Business. He has been an External Examiner to University of Cape Coast Business School, Ghana.  He is an International Scholar with over seventy(70) publications both local and international to his credit and has attended many local and international conferences and read many papers in the area of accounting, finance, and financial economics. He is a Chartered Accountant, Financial Consultant and Tax Practitioner with the instructional focus in Accounting, Finance/Financial Economics, and Strategic Management. He is also a Chief Examiner in Taxation with the Chartered Institute of Bankers, One time Chief Examiner and Chairman of Examinations Committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, became a Group Leader/Supervisor in Cost and Management Accounting and Chief Examiner to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in Multidisciplinary Case Study and Strategic Financial Management (SFM). He is a Council member of Nigeria Tax Academy.

Dr. Ibrahim Abdul has more than two decades of working experience in law enforcement. He holds LLB (Bachelor of Laws) B.L, Master of International Affairs & Diplomacy, Master of Laws ( LLM) and Ph.D. public Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.He has attended and moderated international seminar and workshops in Europe and Africa. He has published many articles and books including Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing Standards in Nigeria,published by Lambert Academic Printers Germany, Anti-Money Laundering, and Counter-Terrorism Financing Law and Practice in Nigeria, Published by Malthouse, Law books, Lagos.  An Appraisal of Legal and Administrative Framework for Combating Terrorist Financing and Money Laundering in Nigeria, published by Global Law Journal Hong Kong. Domestic Implementation of International Instruments for Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing in Nigeria,published Journal of Business and Law Research.  An Analysis of Legal and Institutional Framework for Combating Terrorism Financing in Nigeria, published Journal of Public and International Law, ABU Zaria, and Challenges of Combating Money Laundering in Nigeria published Journal of  Public and International Law ABU Zaria.

Dr Ukaidi Chris is a course examiner for the certificate and advanced certificate in security management and holds a Ph.D in Business Policy and Strategy, University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He received his Bachelor Degree, Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Master Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from University of Calabar. He previously taught at the University of Uyo as a distinguish lecturer.  He has extensive teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate studies. He has carried out research in core areas of business management and strategy at the University of Calabar. He has published journals in several studies at national and International level.

Tony Oghoghorie is the Executive Director Consulting services, a Bi-lingual (French & English) professional resource with innovative capability in providing strategic guidance, advice and support on a range of complex security issues locally and internationally, with government and business security expertise involving: Intelligence Analysis, Crisis Avoidance & Management, People Safety issues and Resilience Planning. He has a sound Intellectual Property protection experience in advising corporate boards on strategy and response to security and illicit trade issues, having operated on both government and corporate business platforms over the last 20 years locally and internationally. His education and skill span law/legal practice, strategic security, policy and strategic studies, and capped with a licentiateship of the UK Cabinet Office, Emergency Planning College.

Raymond Obaji is a Chartered Security Professional (ChSP) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute for Industrial Security (FNIIS). His is the Executive Director Training Services and has more than 25 years of working experience in national/industrial security and consultancy. He holds Masters’ Degrees in Media communication and in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology. He has worked as counter narcotics intelligence Agent (NDLEA) where he handled key positions like strike force commander and PSO operations in Lagos Command.  In the private security career, he served as Chief Security Officer, Security Manager with Lafarge and General Manager in Cardinal Security services Limited overseeing operations in the West African sub-region. Raymond is also consulting in security risk management for multinational companies. He has a robust training career and is a key resource person for Nigerian Institute for Industrial security (NIIS). He has handled several security-training programmes for organizations such as Total, First E&P, Coca-Cola, Nestle, Nigerian Breweries, Chevron, Phillips, Transocean, Central bank, etc. As enterprise risk manager, he has conducted country security risk assessments for corporate organizations in Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal and Cameroun. He effectively managed incident response and evacuation in some African countries including Sudan and Burkina Faso. He is a doctorate student at the University of Calabar.

chinyere okafor

Chinyere Okafor is the Senior Human Resources Manager with two decades professional experience gained in both Private and Public Sectors.   She specializes in developing design, administration, delivery and evaluation of training for management development.  Training appplications are both classroom and elearning covering – Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship and Records & Management.  She holds BA (Hons) Business Management (England, UK), Masters of Research in Business and Management (Scotland, UK).  MSc Human Resource Management & Socio-Economic Development (Scotland, UK), She is a Certified Trainer in Management Development, a member Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and a member of ARMA International U.S.A

Charles D. Bassey is the Quality Assurance manager and holds BSc and MBA degrees from the University of Calabar. He has over 25 years of working experience as a training assessor and consultant in Logistics, Marketing and business development. His core responsibilities are planning, directing and coordinating the quality assurance programmes and coordinating the internal and external units to meet our broad objectives.

Barr. John Otanwa

Barr. John Otanwa is the Company Secretary of  Trapex Consultants. He holds an LLB(Hon) BL and LLM with 15 years of working experience as a legal practitioner with an impeccable business knowledge. A corporate lawyer with dual responsibilities ensuring that Trapex consultants business transactions comply with the enabling laws by providing legal decisions that translate to a strong bottom line objective.
